Lantern Cove | Foster City, CA
The Lantern Cove project would remove 10 existing buildings and replace them with one higher density apartment building comprised of 392 units, as well as a separate clubhouse containing an additional 28 units. The proposed LEED Gold building consists of 3 complimentary design styles. The variation in styles provides visual relief to the massing while integrating the building into the context of the surrounding area.
The building reduces in height from 5 stories to 3 stories as the project approaches the neighboring single-family homes to the east, providing a design that is complimentary to the existing residential urban fabric. Parking will be provided primarily by car stackers located in the first-floor garage. Centered around 4 courtyards, the project features amenities such as: A fitness center, two pools, a club lounge, a roof deck, work-from-home zones, a dog run, a pet spa, and outdoor BBQ counters. The O’Neill Slough Trail for bikes and pedestrians runs just south of the building, providing tenants with an alternate means of travel and additional outdoor recreation.
