Combining Senior and Affordable Family Housing on one podium, this multi-generation project completes the first phase of a larger development project centered on the South Hayward BART station. The project features a shared podium courtyard with community gardens and a combined outdoor gathering space for both Senior and Family residents.

The family development includes 87 one-, two- and three-bedroom affordable dwelling units. Adjacent to the family building are 64 affordable senior apartments including both one- and two-bedroom affordable dwelling units. While the two buildings have their own interior common space, they each share the common outdoor podium courtyard. The interior spaces are situated in a way to create a natural flow between the two properties in the common outdoor space. The courtyard includes a tot lot, raised community gardens, and picnic tables.

The site is located within walking distance of a wealth of amenities including parks, schools and transportation. First and foremost, residents have convenient access to affordable public transportation at the BART station located just across Dixon Street.
