The Brady | San Francisco, CA

The Brady takes advantage of the opportunity to construct a mixed-use development at a significant, underutilized site in a transit-oriented, urban infill location with a building density, mix of uses, and public amenity program that is consistent with the Market & Octavia Area Plan. Buildings A and B were designed by David Baker Architects and Kennerly Architecture & Planning.

Building A is a nine-story, 85-foot tall addition behind the historic 1629 Market Street façade. It contains 190 residential units, 5,100 square feet of groundfloor retail/restaurant space, a two-level, below-grade parking garage, amenity space, bike storage, a residents’ courtyard, and a roof deck.

Building B, a nine-story mixed-use building, contains 185 residential units and 2,000 square feet of ground-floor retail/ restaurant space fronting Market Street. The building includes a courtyard, below grade parking garage, bike storage, and amenity spaces like a Music Room, Maker Space, and Game Room.

Located east of the proposed Brady Open Space and south of Stevenson Street, Building D, a nine-story residential building, contains 69 residential units, a ground-floor lobby, and a single basement level to provide a Fitness room and courtyard for tenants.
