Lantana | San Francisco, CA

At the junction of MLK & 16th Streets, Lantana brings 140 new dwellings to Oakland’s downtown neighborhood. The building's skin consists of brick, board-form concrete tile, corrugated metal siding and cement plaster. The project is organized as two façade types that give the appearance of two smaller buildings and create a massing that is more compatible with the burgeoning Downtown neighborhood. In addition to the roof deck overlooking Oakland, the Bay, and the city of San Francisco beyond, residents may enjoy an internal courtyard, lobby, lounge and fitness room on the first level. With walkable access to the ample offerings of downtown Oakland, MLK & 16th is within a few minutes stroll of Lake Merritt, BART, and countless restaurants, shops and cultural attractions.
